Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ship Agency Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in UAE ports, particularly in Sharjah and Fujairah. They will be responsible for managing all vessel-related operations efficiently, ensuring compliance with port regulations, and providing exceptional support to the crew and vessel during port stays.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of port calls for vessels, including arrival, stay, and departure in line with client requirements.
2. Act as a liaison between the vessel, port authorities, service providers, and local agents to ensure smooth operations.
3. Oversee documentation, including pre-arrival and departure notices, port clearance, cargo documentation, and immigration formalities.
4. Arrange essential services such as pilotage, berth allocation, stevedoring, and bunkering.
5. Handle crew changes, medical assistance, provisioning, and any other ad hoc requests from the vessel.
6. Monitor and address operational issues promptly to minimize delays and additional costs.
7. Ensure compliance with port regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
8. Prepare and submit operational reports, cost estimates, and final disbursements to clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. 3-5 years of experience as a Ship Agency Operator in UAE ports, with strong familiarity with Sharjah and Fujairah ports.
2. In-depth knowledge of port operations, regulations, and procedures.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
4. Proficiency in handling documentation and paperwork for port clearances and cargo operations.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond promptly to unexpected situations.
6. Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
